Sunderland vs Oxford United Match Report
Oxford United welcomed back some of their squad and they played their part in denying Sunderland a chance to go top of League One.
Rotation was on managers Karl Robinson mind with games coming thick and fast, and he used his subs wisely to subdue and deny Sunderland.
Despite this Leon Dajaku gave Sunderland an early lead to the delight of their fans, but Oxford came back strongly.
Top scorer Matty Taylor was the hero again as he swept in a cross by the marvellous Nathan Holland. 1-1 and the Mackem’s were audibly deflated.
Eastwood returned to his place in between the sticks and his reflexes were sharp to deny any more goals and the draw was a deserved result.
