Doncaster Rovers vs Oxford United Match Report
Oxford United chalked up a late 2-1 win against bottom of the table Doncaster Rovers to go 5th in League One and 5 points from the top.
Sub James Henry was the joy-instigator with a powerful late drive past Louis Jones in the opposition net.
In truth, the U’s should have put the game to bed earlier, and Mark Sykes seemed to have opened the flood gates in the 16th minute. The returning Gavin Whyte made a powerful run and teed up Sykes for a smart finish.
Sykes, Whyte and Brannigan should have doubled the lead, but Horton looked to have earned his side a point with an impressive run and shot.
Luckily for the Yellows, James Henry kept up his fine goal-scoring run this season with a great finish.
Playoff rivals MK Dons await on Saturday.
