Oxford United vs AFC Wimbledon Match Report
Oxford United finished the year in style with a thumping 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon to end the year on a high.
After disappointment in the last game versus Wigan, the first teamers returned with aplomb as Sykes, Taylor and Sam Long scored in the easy victory.
There were plenty of reasons to be optimistic for 2022 with Taylor bagging his 12th of the season and Sam Winnall returning to action, Ryan Williams scintillating form, and ending the year clear in the play off places.
Without the distraction of the cups there is a real opportunity to be involved in the play-offs come the end of season in May. Rotherham, Sunderland and Wigan look too strong to challenge for the automatic places, but manager Karl Robinson would be disappointed to not finish in the play-off places.
