Oxford United kick off the League One campaign away to Cambridge on Saturday 5th August 2023 with manager Liam Manning hoping for a good start to improve on last seasons dismal 19th place last season.
The first home game is against newly promoted Carlisle Saturday 12th August. With the Carabao Cup game away to Bristol City expected to be sandwiched between.
The following games are tough trips to title favourites Derby and likely promotion candidates in Barnsley. A season defining August ends with a home game against playoff rivals Charlton.
Currently, the season ends with the long trip to Exeter City on Saturday 27th April. All dates and games are subject to change due to TV, international games and clashes with cup games yet to be drawn.
The boxing day fixture is a home game with Cambridge United, and the traditional New Years Day game is shot trip to Charlton Athletic, both with a 3pm kick off.
