Pupil’s design graces school after winning competition

Young Grace Townsley clearly has a good eye for design as her drawing was chosen as the winner from more than 4,000 entries nationally.

The pupil from Rush Common School, Abingdon, took part in Hartwell’s Design-A-Sleigh competition where children were asked to consider eco-friendly aspects to Santa’s sleigh and what special powers the sleigh could have.

Kevin Rea from Hartwell’s Abingdon dealership is pictured presenting Grace with a framed copy of her winning design at a special assembly, saying she did an amazing job and displayed a “great amount of ideas in her design”.

The school was also given an iPad and a Chrome notebook.
