50-year-old man arrested after murder of Oxford Harry Potter collector

A 50-year-old man from Peterborough in Cambridgeshire has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Oxford art dealer and historian Adrian Greenwood.

Mr Greenwood was found dead at his Iffley Road home with multiple stab wounds to his neck and chest on Thursday.

Police confirmed this morning they arrested the suspect in Peterborough just before 11pm last night.

A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder on Thursday but was released without charge on Saturday.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Kev Brown said: “We continue to urge for the public’s help to find out what happened to Adrian Greenwood.

“It’s crucial that anyone with any information about Mr Greenwood’s background or the murder comes forward as soon as possible.”

Mr Greenwood was last seen last Tuesday at a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Oxford Road Kidlington at around 6pm.

He was found dead by his cleaner in the hallway of his four-storey Iffley Road home last Thursday afternoon, and was declared dead at the scene by the emergency services.
