Piping in the festive season

The Abingdon Traditional Morris Dancers have announced their festive season schedule after a year of ups and downs.

In August, they were filmed in Leamington Spa for a BBC2 show “My Country”, and also danced at BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace.

Then a few days later, the Mummers said goodbye to Colin Corner as his ashes were spread on White Horse Hill. Colin took over from Jack Hyde as the bagman in 1971 and was the main motivator behind the team in the 1970s and 1980s.
