A 43-year-old woman from Abingdon died yesterday after the car she was in collided with a tree in Drayton Road.

The woman, who died at the scene, has not yet been formally named.

The driver – a 27-year-old man – was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.

The collision happened shortly after 3.10pm on July 27 when a blue and silver Mitsubishi L200 lost control and collided with a tree while travelling from Drayton towards Sutton Courtenay.
