Police warn Abingdon murder suspect may be armed and dangerous

Police have released a photo of 20-year-old Billy Johnson who is wanted in connection to the murder of Kerry Reeves in an Abingdon shooting.

The image was published this afternoon during a Thames Valley Police press conference in Kidlington appealing to track him down.

Police also warned they believe he is armed and dangerous.

They added 60 officers are working on the murder investigation.

Kerry, 26, died in hospital yesterday after being shot in the head at close range in Abingdon on Tuesday night.

Officers have not yet found the murder weapon, but believe Kerry did not see her attacker.

Investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Chris Ward, said: “Thames Valley Police is releasing an image of Billy Johnson, a man wanted in connection with Kerry Reeves’ murder in Abingdon.

“Kerry was brutally shot at close range and her family is understandably devastated by her untimely death.

“If you see Billy please do not approach him, instead call 999 immediately.”

Johnson is white, 5ft 8ins, with very short brown hair and blue eyes.

He has tattoos on his right arm of the word ‘Mum’ and clouds, and a tattoo on his right hand with the words ‘Life is precious’.

Johnson has links to London, Corby in Northamptonshire, and Oxfordshire.

A 20-year-old man from Ealing in London who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail until December 5.

A post mortem is to be held on Monday.
