Oxfordshire teenager in hospital after car crashes into tree

A 17-year-old girl from Oxfordshire is being treated in hospital with life-threatening injuries after her car collided with a tree in Hampshire on Saturday.

The teenager’s silver Citroen Saxo crashed in Amesbury Road, Weyhill, near Andover, on the junction of Wire Mead lane between 3.45am and 4.40am.

Steve Antrobus, acting police sergeant from the western roads policing unit at Hampshire Constabulary, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen this collision.

“We believe there are no other vehicles involved however we would like to hear from anybody that may have seen a Saxo driving in or around that area at that time.”

Witnesses are asked to ring police on 101 and quote 44160125806.
