The Hummingbird Centre will open its doors to the community later this month for a wellbeing event designed to show how the charity supports people affected by cancer.
The Launton-based cancer support centre, near Bicester, will host its Wellbeing Fayre on Saturday 20 June from 11am to 4pm.
Visitors will be able to meet the team, explore the centre and find out more about the therapies, activities and support available to guests and their families.
The event will include wellbeing stalls, holistic experiences, refreshments, homemade cakes and a raffle, with money raised going towards the running costs of the centre.

What visitors can expect
The fayre is intended to give local residents a relaxed introduction to The Hummingbird Centre and the atmosphere it offers to people going through cancer, as well as their families and support networks.
Visitors will be able to sample or find out more about wellbeing activities and complementary therapies including Reiki, Indian head massage and reflexology. The therapies are offered as complementary wellbeing support, not as a replacement for medical treatment.
There will also be stalls selling items such as jewellery, candles and cacao, with further wellbeing products and local practitioners expected on site.
Refreshments and cake will be available throughout the day, giving visitors the chance to stay, talk to the team and learn more about how the centre works.

‘A chance to experience wellbeing in action’
Zoe Draper, Centre Manager at The Hummingbird Centre, said the event is about making the charity more visible to the community.
She said:
“We wanted to create an event that not only showcases what The Hummingbird Centre offers but also gives people a chance to experience wellbeing in action.
“It is a chance to meet our team, find out more about our services and see first-hand the positive difference the centre makes to individuals and families across the community.
“Whether someone is looking for support, interested in holistic therapies, or simply wants to find out more about what we do, everyone is welcome.”
