Are you ready for summer? Fusion Lifestyle has great news! Hinksey Outdoor Pool is set to open on June 12th, following the completion of a new pool liner installation last month. Get ready to take a dip and enjoy the sun!
This is a fantastic opportunity to beat the heat and have a blast. With the new liner in place, you can dive right in and enjoy all the summer fun that awaits. Don’t miss out – mark your calendars and get ready for a great time!
The popular Hinksey Lido is run by Fusion Lifestyle on behalf of the city council, and is a well-loved summer feature in Oxford.
It’s a shame to see public swimming pools in some parts of the UK closing due to the costs involved. However, Oxford City Council is making a positive move by investing £132,000 for a new liner at Hinksey.
Last year, they even went a step further and installed a new heat pump, helping to ensure the long-term future of the pool. It’s a great example of how local authorities are finding ways to keep outdoor swimming venues open and available for the public to enjoy.
Online booking for sessions from June 12 onwards at Hinksey Outdoor Pool will be available from 6 June. Please book on the Fusion Lifestyle app or via the Fusion website
Season tickets can be purchased here from 6 June onwards.

What is the history of Hinksey Lido?
Hinksey Lido is a historic outdoor swimming pool located in the heart of Oxford, England. The pool was built in 1934 and was originally a large outdoor swimming pool with a diving board and changing rooms. It has since been renovated and is now a heated lido open to the public. The pool has a capacity of up to 200 people and is a popular location for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. It is also a popular tourist destination in Oxford.
Hinksey Park opened in 1856 as landscaped grounds of a waterworks facility. The waterworks eventually shut down in 1934, and from the former filter beds, a pool was formed. It was left unfenced and swimming was free until the 1950s.
