Creatives from across the country return to Handmade Oxford, The International Contemporary Arts Festival showcasing a wide range of disciplines from ceramics, glass and jewellery, to print, sculpture and wood.
Promoting British craft and artists remains central to the events priority and 2022 sees some changes to Handmade Oxford with an open air festival feel, with a focus on creating a positive impact on the environment by scaling down the amount of resources consumed.
In addition to attending the festival in person, virtual events streamed live from Waterperry Garden will be available for virtual attendance, such as craft demonstrations hosted by designer-makers and craft workshops.
Of course those attending the in-person festival will have the added advantage of access to Waterperry’s beautiful historic gardens, and indulge in artisan food and drinks.
Visitors will have the opportunity to buy and enjoy artisan products, the Artisan Food area will be located within a marquee. With a chance to test and try treats before purchase, food sampling will be allowed. In addition to meeting the makers, visitors will be invited to take part in a packed programme of workshops, watch maker demonstrations, and explore the ornamental gardens at Waterperry.
