Sunday 25th June 2023
Oxford University Rugby Club
Bike Oxford: Focused on inclusivity, welcoming all ages and abilities.

Bike Oxford, now in its 10th year, is an event with real community spirit. Championed by Oxford City and Oxfordshire County councils as a way of encouraging active transport and healthy lifestyle, the event welcomes riders from all parts of the community, of all ages and abilities.
The event, one of the largest single day city sportives in the South of England, starts and finishes at Oxford University Rugby Club and comprises marked rides of 26, 50 and 75 miles, taking in the best scenery of Oxford and the surrounding countryside.
Registration is open, and over 300 riders have already registered.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and local businesses are encouraged to take part.
The 2023 event is supporting a new charity partner in Maggie’s, Oxford: everyone’s home of cancer care. Their beautiful Treehouse and kind cancer support specialists offer a safe and healing space for anyone affected by cancer.

Cathy Talbot, Centre Fundraising Manager from Maggie’s says, ‘’We are so delighted and grateful to be Bike Oxford’s chosen charity. All money raised from this partnership will be spent to help people live better with cancer. Thank you, Bike Oxford, for supporting us!’’
Maggie’s is also offering free entrance to anyone who is able to commit to raising £150 in
sponsorship.

Iconic Cycling Events are collaborating with Wheels for All Oxford to ensure the Bike Oxford
weekend will be a fully inclusive sportive event, possibly the first in the UK. There will be an adapted cycling event taking place at the Horspath Athletics track in a safe traffic free environment.

With their extensive range of adapted cycles, tandems, side-by-sides, tricycles, recumbent bikes and even a wheelchair transporter, Wheels for All Oxford have something for everyone.
The event is once again supported by the Cowley Road Condors Cycling Club. Cheryl of Cowley Road Condors said, “We are proud to support Bike Oxford again this year. Seeing so many happy riders at the feed stations and at the finish is a great feeling. It’s a fantastic event and supports many wonderful local charities such as Maggies. We are really looking forward to it and seeing people there on the day!”
