Anthonia Edwards To Join Billy Ocean On His 2023 UK Tour

27 January 2023 Winner of ITV’s The Voice UK 2022 Anthonia Edwards will be joining the legendary Grammy Award-winning vocalist Billy Ocean as a very special guest on his 2023 UK tour. After seeing Anthonia perform on ITV primetime show The Voice and hearing her cover of Love Really Hurts Without You, Billy insisted Anthonia should join him on the road where he will perform his greatest hits. Tickets are on sale now here.

Kicking off at the Stoke Regent on Friday 17 March, the tour will travel to 21 towns and cities across the UK throughout March and April, with the final show set to take place at the Blackpool Opera House on Saturday 29 April. Anthonia will perform at some of the country’s most stunning theatres and concert halls, including the iconic London Palladium on Monday 17 April.

Anthonia Edwards said: “I’m so excited to be going on my first ever tour, and it’s an absolute honour for it to be with a legend like Billy Ocean. I’ve grown up with his music, and actually released a cover of Love Really Hurts Without You last year so this is all a bit surreal! I can’t wait to get out and perform in front of his amazing fans across the UK.”

Billy Ocean said: “When I saw Anthonia’s performances on The Voice and then her version of Love Really Hurts, I knew she would be the perfect opening artist for the UK tour”

Anthonia Edwards is a 25-year-old qualified nurse from Blackheath, London. She was coached to victory on last year’s series of ITV’s the Voice UK by Sir Tom Jones, beating four other finalists to take the coveted crown. She has since signed a prestigious recording contact with major record label EMI, and released her debut single Anyone, a reimagined version of the hit single by Justin Bieber, with new music planned for release later this year.
